Pod51 was an excellent hotel for our requirements. Mum (39yo) and son (21yo) forst time visitors to NYC. The location was perfect with Times Square being 15/20min walk away. The room (a bunk bed room) was great - the TV’s were good for some back ground noise when getting ready. The towels and sink amenities in the room (soap, rinsing cups, floor mat, and three towels each) were topped up daily. The beds were so comfy and the pillows (2 each) were perfect. The bed was perhaps a little on the short side if you are 6ft or more. The shared bathrooms were always clean (not sure if we just got lucky with other decent guests). The water pressure was great and the water nice and warm. The cafe hut in the lobby was a nice touch for grabbing a coffee and pastry to go. The roof terrace and outdoor spaces were great. The staff were brilliant and held our luggage for free on our departure day as we had 5 hours between checkout and heading to the airport.

Pod51 single rooms are outstanding for young travellers. One needs to say that the rooms are really fairly small, and there is not much space. For me, this was not too much of a problem, as I spent most of my time outside anyway, but it might be problematic for others. The room, however, was well structured, and all the amenities specified on the website were available. Outstanding is definitely the location (close to Times Square, Subway, and UN HQs!) Moreover, there is a rooftop that I really loved and spent a lot of time on. Lastly, they offer free walking tours and organise transport to the airport, and the team is helpful and friendly. Thank you!

Accommodating, friendly staff, good security. Nearby car parking for easy personal vehicle access. Wonderful small cafe’ with scenic seating within for quick comfortable morning (and other times) fuel ups. Nice neighborhood near choice of restaurants including reknown nyc steakhouse. Clean, basic room with terrific plantation shutters for easy bright light adjustment. Adjacent connected private clean basic bathroom with soap and hair dryer but no other cosmetics— byo shampoo, conditioner et al. Quiet enough for a decent Saturday night sleep despite proximity to lively late hour entertainment, and room near the elevators— very important.

We have arrived to the hotel later than expected however we were greeted and given our room with no issues. There is a 50usd cover which you have to pay before you get your room, but I received it back on my card the same day. The room was quite small - however it was not uncomfortable at all. The "shared bathroom" might look scary if you are used to different, but it was actually 4 bathrooms (and indicators in the room which bathroom is available at all times) and we never had an issue. The place is close to most central locations, it is a perfect choice for your stay.

The hotel is 100% worth your money’s worth. It’s clean - no bedbugs etc. The neighborhood is safe and full of podole, stores, cafes. It’s in Midtown, great for sightseeing and close to Central Park if you wanna go run there in the morning. The room seems ridiculously tiny at first, but you get used to it and it’s totally fine. Would certainly stay there again. PS. Right around the corner are one of the best bagels in NYC, delicious way to start your day, and across the street from the hotel a small park where you can enjoy them without the city’s hassle.
